A good venue for BDM interactions

First, I would like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH HRD UNIT FOR THE SUPERB IDEA. Keep it up!

To my fellow BDMs,

This a good avenue for us to actively participate/discuss matters that we are dealing every day. I hope it will help us a lot especially to the new BDMs who have lots of questions, worries and difficulties in the daily bank transactions.

So be free to share your thoughts, opinions and suggestions.

Thanks and more power!

Good day fellow BDM's,

This is a really great venue for us to tackle some issues that we had experienced so that those unexperienced BDM's may also learn from it, like me.

Eric is right for thanking Nelsion Casiano for this spectacular idea.

My first issue is handling high turn over rate of employees at the branch.

we really can't control the high turnover of employees especially now that the housing subsidy allowance is already stopped. The amount of the housing subsidy may not be that big but at least it can help them financially.

1. Maybe if localization of employees will be realized then maybe it will help minimize the resignation of our employees.

2. Minimize workload of employees. Lesser workload will mean more time to rest. Everyone deserves to spend time with thier families and love ones.

3. I noticed that those who usually resigned belongs to the upper class or average class of the society. I'm not saying that we will not hire them but if possible we will try to hire applicants that really needs work and has the will to help thier families. It may sound wierd and funny, but its true.

4. Prices of almost all products and commodoties are increasing, maybe an increase of salary is needed....

5. Lastly, SOME BDM's does not know how to handle employees. We may be good in numbers, hitting targets or hitting are KRA's but in dealing with individuals we fail. Some can't accept the fact that our subordinates has better ideas than us. Arguments and disagreements will arise and some BDM's just cant accept it that will lead to PERSONALAN". We need to grow up, act and talk like a manager. Always remember that there will always be a greater and lesser persons than ourselves. Stop comparing ourselves to others. Everyone is different from everybody.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE YOUR LIFE HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL

8 ways to do it (based on my own experience)

1.As you wake up, don"t forget to pray to God and thank Him for all the blessings He showered us.

2.As you step out from your house, don't forget to smile...SMILE will ligthen your day

3. As you start your day, lean your back and take a deep breath, it will relax you. (to prevent a stressful day)

4. Always put a mirror in front of you so that it will remind us how beautiful we are...(so, dili magmug-ot kay maot tan-awon ato kaugalingon sa samin)

5. Grab every opportunity may it be good or bad...we can learn from our own mistake.

6. Always be sensitive to the feelings of others..be considerate and understanding

7. Don't step on the shoes of others for your own personal gain... It will lead you nowhere..

8. Always take care of our elders..Spent more time with them...REspect them always...Remember when its our time to get old, we don't want to spend our remaining days on earth alone...

TRY IT....YOU'LL NEVER GET OLD THIS EARLY...

It's so unfortunate that our bank has a big problem in fraud practices by our own employees...I was wondering what drive them to do this.

Below are my observations why they came to a point that they really have to do it.

a. They did it because they are assigned in a place, where they are far from thier families, and considering the salary they are getting that cannot sustain thier everyday needs including food...No more cash advances, they dont have someone to ask help...IT'S SURVIVAL...May be they taught that they would rather steal than sleeping with an empty stomach...

b. We also hired employees from other banks without conductiong backgroud check...Background checking is very important, in this way we may able to learn what they did in thier past employers.

c. BDMS/cashiers lack monitoring in collection...Maybe because of the workload they have, they cannot check the cash collection...We should not trust anybody when it comes to money...Money makes the world go round...

d. Maybe we should conduct a seminar in how to be a GOOD CITIZEN, it may remind us the values that our school and parents taught us. We seem to forget the right values because of the bad influences that surrounds us and no one was able to guide us in the right path.

Good day!

We really have to thanks our HR and mentors for this very nice venue,a home where we expressed our issues and concern with regards to operation and personnel matter.

With regards to the issue brouht out by sir haruld, that Davao Branch as of this moment has a problem of high employee turn-over rate.

With this, maybe we could suggest that the prescribed wages rate under wages order shall be applied to all newly hired employee's receiving the minimum wage regardless of position, designation or status of employment.By this maybe we can hold...
